Masquerade May Ball 2007
On Saturday 12th May Linedancers in Oxford joined together for a Masquerade Ball with special guests from TV’s Strictly Dance Fever, Darren & Lana.
The evening was hosted by Keeley of In Touch Dance and Julie of Sideliners Linedance Club. It started with a nice easy teach from Darren, a one wall dance called Take It Back. Darren later taught an intermediate two wall Cha Cha called Tequila Cha, which was well received by all dancers. Great music and a fab dance! Darren & Lana performed three fantastic demo’s over the evening, a Guapacha, American Smooth & a Free Star Latin Cha Cha. As usual they wowed us all.
It was lovely to see some dancers in their glad rags with ladies in lovely dresses and men in their DJ’s. There was a selection of beautiful masks and a winner was picked by Lana, Sally Brown from Cheltenham who won a bottle of champagne
It was great to see two local clubs join together! During the social dancing all requests were played and there was a lovely fun atmosphere throughout the whole evening. The event was a great success with several requests to make it an annual event so we’ll be back next May to host another Ball!!
